- Consider renter's storage insurance
- Prepare unit-- if necessary. May use pallets & plastic on floors (for protection against moisture)
- Plan needed supplies, tape, rope, tarps, covers, etc.
- Do not store hazardous or combustible materials
- Appliances should be clean and dry
- Label boxes on all sides
- Store frequently used items at front for easy access
- Leave a small space between storage walls and stored items
- Store heavy items at the base to insure against collapse.
